Registration & Orientation of new as well as old students for Gender Sensitization Society was held on 25th August 2015, in the college seminar room, wherein the students were made aware of the importance & purpose of the formation of the society.

National Girl Child Day is celebrated every year on 24th January as a National Observance Day for the girl child. This celebration was started off to offer more support and new opportunities to the females of our country. Gender Sensitization Society of our college celebrated this day by organizing a talk of Dr.Neelu (Phd),(Vice President of American Airlines) who is actively engaged with people suffering from mental Disorder. She interacted with the students regarding the inequalities faced by the girl child in our society and also compared the role of women & men with respect to two opposite countries in all respects ie America and India. She also emphasized that India is far richer in its culture and tradition when it comes to treatment of women on fairer terms and encouraged the students to be more Indian in their approach and acknowledge its value & worth. She motivated students to work with the society and for the society which would not only help them to understand role of a women/girls in the Indian context but will bring about gender equality too.
Gender Sensitization Society Collaboration with NSS on 16th December 2014 Arranged a talk during NSS Camp to sensitize the volunteers on GENDER and issues related to it, a guest-lecture was conducted by Ms. Prabhjot Kaur, State coordinator at State Resource Center for Women. She discussed the very primal institution of gender and why the youth should be aware and overt as to how they perceive gender equality and practice it. She came up with simple day-to-day examples and some of her real life experiences that made everyone ponder hard if everyone did their bit or not. This eye-opening seminar ended with a cheerful audience.
|An intercollege Skit competition was organised on 15th November 2014 under the supervision of Gender Sensitization Society Entries were sent to all the colleges of Chandigarh P U affiliated colleges and students participated in the same .the theme of the Skit was issues concerning gender in today’s context . The chief guest for the event was Mr. Zulfikar Khan Director Theatre age. The judges for event were Dr, Nindru Bal, Ex Principal PGGCG-42, CHD. Mr. Sandeep Mittal, Deputy Director, State AIDS Control Society, Chandigarh. Mr. Naresh Kumar, GCCBA-42. Three teams and two individuals’ winners were declared for the above competition. They are as follows-

With the above event Gender Sensitization Society Arranged A talk for college as well for Guest students to make them aware regarding gender issues prevailing in our society. The talk was given by the Chief Guest of the event Mr. Zulfikr, Director Theatre age.
On 27th October 2014 Gender Sensitization society of the college organised an A Poster Making Competition was conducted on the theme ‘Save the Girl Child’.
On International Girl Child Day Gender Sensitization Society of GCCBA-42 organised an inter class poetry recitation competition on 11th October 2014 to imbibe among the students, the importance of gender equality. Topic for the poetry recitation was “Grace of being a woman.”
