|The society has organized an orientation programme for the new students. The students were made aware about the purpose of society. The winners of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ were also awarded with cash prizes and certificates. A total of 70 students were present in the event. A documentary show was organized by the Gender Sensitization Society of Government College of Commerce and Business Administration Sector -50, Chandigarh in collaboration with Jagori, Chandigarh, An NGO, Dr . Reva Rishi, Dr.Jyoti Seth and Mrs. Neeraj Aggrawal was the speakers for this show and interactive session. The trio involved the students with questions, answers and examples. A totao of 50 students including 32 girls and 18 boys enjoyed and learned their lessons for upcoming life .

An orientation programme was conducted for B.Com-I, BBA-I and M.Com-I. These students have come after covid-19 to attend the college offline. So they were made aware about the objectives and agenda of the society. The Students were very keen to participate for working on gender issues .
A Total of 10 students participated in the traffic rally organized by Chandigarh Traffic Police & “LEO Club Chandigarh Fortune” for FEMALE HELMET DRIVE. It was an awareness campaign to augment helmet usage. .The students from various Colleges participated in the rally.

The society has organized an interaction talk. The speaker for the session was Dr.Jyoti Seth, retired Head of the Department, Sociology at PGGC-42, Chandigarh . She has shown two video clips to sensitize genders regarding dowry system and gender stereotype. The students were active participant in the discussion.
A Sanitation Drive with candle distribution Was Carried out on 3rd November, 2021 in collaboration with NSS in the adopted village Khajeri . A Total of 15 Girls and 3 boys participated in the drive. They distributed Sanitary Napkins along With candles at the eve of Diwali . The society has organized an interactive session with the students on the special occasion of international women’s day. Ms.Mona Sodhi and Dr.Amarinder Singh has conducted the session. They both involved students and motivated them to air their views about gender stereotypes. A total of 45 students participated in the drive.
The society organised a Tree Plantation Drive to celebrate ‘National Girl Child Day’ today. This event was inaugurated by Dr. Abha Sudarshan, the Principal of the college as she herself planted saplings. All the other staff members of the college, strictly following safe distancing guidelines regarding Covid19, planted several plants of ‘female names’ in the college campus.The coordinators of the event, Dr. Harinder Kaur and Ms. Sarbjeet Kaur thanked all the participants for their active support in the tree plantation drive.
